I recently passed the AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03) exam and I'm excited to share my experience and some tips that helped me. Here's my aws badge.
1. Choose the right resources ✅
There are many different resources available to help you prepare for the SAA-C03 exam. I chose to use three resources:
Adrian Cantrill's course. Adrian's course is an excellent resource for mastering the AWS platform. It covers all the topics that appear on the exam. He explains the concepts in a straightforward and succinct way. His course on AWS Solutions Architect (SAA-C03) delves into core technical fundamentals. It will be beneficial for both tech professionals and non-tech people who are transitioning into a tech career.
Stephane Maarek's course. Stephane's course is a great resource for reviewing the material and getting practice questions. He also provides lots of helpful tips on how to tackle the exam. It's concise and the best way to keep the facts for the exam in mind.
Tutorials Dojo practice tests. Tutorials Dojo's practice tests are a great way to familiarize yourself with the exam format and the types of questions you may encounter. They are some of the best available. Practice tests can help you identify and fill in any gaps in your knowledge.
2. Create a study plan 🗓️
Once you have selected your resources, it's crucial to devise a study plan. Set aside a minimum of 60-90 days to prepare for the exam with 1-2 hours of study each day. This will provide sufficient time to go through the material, review the practice questions, and take the actual exam. As you study, remember to take notes of what you are learning.
3. Stick to your study plan 🔥
Passing certificate exams requires discipline. Stick to your study plan to stay on track and cover all material. Don't be afraid to adjust your plan if you fall behind. There's no need to rush. Aim to understand the concepts behind the exams. Exam questions are scenario-based, so a strong conceptual understanding is key to success.
4. Take practice tests 🏋️
Taking practice tests is a great way to become familiar with the exam format and the types of questions. I suggest taking Tutorials Dojo's practice exams twice and addressing any knowledge gaps before taking the exam.

5. Don't give up 💪
The SAA-C03 exam is tough. But you can pass it. Stay focused on your study plan. Take practice tests. Don't give up. You'll be on the path to success.

Here are some additional tips that I found helpful:
Join a study group. Studying with a group can keep you motivated. It can also help you stay on track.
Find a mentor. Identify an individual who has acquired AWS Solutions Architect certification. Reach out to them for assistance and guidance.
Use the AWS documentation. The AWS platform can be easily learnt from the AWS documentation. It is a great resource.
Ask questions. Don't be afraid to ask your instructor, mentor, or friend if you have any questions about the material.
Extra time. Non-English speakers can get an extra 30 minutes for the exam.
